Aside from this terrible cold, that was a beautiful weekend. I am linking up with
Teaching Trio for their Sunday Scoop linky party.
Now, here is the September Scoop. I worked hard packing up, moving down a flight of stairs, unpacking, and setting up my Grade 2 classroom for the start of school. We had a great time for our 9 days together - super sweet bunch of children. Here is a picture from International Dot Day.
Then on the second week of school, I learned that they were creating a new Grade 4/5 class the following week. So I jumped at the opportunity, packed up my things, moved them back to the third floor, and unpacked AGAIN.
So now I've been with my new Grade 4/5 students for 9 days too. Phew! That was busy! I couldn't have done it all without the help of my awesome friends at school and this fantastic person. Thank you to
Melissa from Teacher Abroad who dedicated countless hours helping me do all of this.
My Grade 4/5s have been learning about one of our learning skills: Responsibility. They divided a piece of chart paper into four sections and brainstormed how they are responsible at home, at school, for themselves, and for the environment.
We also have done a fantastic art activity. The idea came from
Green Bay Art Room.
Have a great Sunday night!
